WELCOME TO THE INTERACTIVE TOOL

This colour-coded interactive tool will make it easier for you to navigate through Auslan in the Australian Curriculum (Version 9).

1. Watch the Introduction Video
Please start by clicking on the video (top left). It will show you how to use this interactive tool.

2. Choose Your Year Level
On the bottom left are scrollable Year Levels.
Please note that there are two different Learner Pathways:

- First Language:
First Language is for Auslan signing students whose first language is Auslan.

- Second Language:
Second Language is for students who are learning Auslan as a second language.

Most likely you will be teaching students who are learning Auslan for the first time. If so, please use Second Language. (Scroll down to choose Second Language).

3. Click on Contents in the Chart
This is the area that you will need to explore to help you organise your lesson plans.

All details (with the exception of Resources) are taken from the Australian Curriculum (V9).

Year Levels = Overview
AS = Achievement Standards
C = Communicating Meaning in Auslan
U = Understanding Language and Culture
R = Resources

Resources
In here, you will see a list of age-appropriate Auslan resources for that year level.

The resources will be a time saver for you.

When you purchase the resources, feel free to select the parts you need or adapt them to suit the dynamics of your teaching and class, and to cover specific Auslan curriculum areas.
