Norwegian Creamed Cabbage

1/2 cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons plain flour (all purpose flour)
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg or mixed spice
1/2 teaspoon vegetable bouillon or garlic salt
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1. Boil the cabbage for about 30 minutes (until tender) and drain well then add butter and garlic salt
2. Mix together water, flour and butter, stirring constantly, until it turns a light brown
3. Add nutmeg and vegetable boullion to the flour mixture and stir

Mix in the cabbage, salt and pepper
